Job Overview:As an Accounting Intern, you'll have the opportunity to shadow and learn from the members of our Financial Management team. You'll be responsible for assisting with various a accounting tasks.Your Responsibilities:
Assist with budget preparation including: uploading utility data, audit, update payroll information, confirm management fee, RE tax budget/assessed value, and more
Assist with bank reconciliations
Liability reconciliation
Identify duplicate vendors and clean up the current list
SCRIE reimbursements
Creating Bank codes, upon request
Work with our accounting programs such as AvidXchange, Yardi, MDS etc.
Skills & Qualifications:
Rising junior or senior pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Must be in the office (no remote work).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with a high workload volume while also knowing when to ask for help and ask questions when the information is unfamiliar.
Windows knowledge a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills is a must.
A high level of energy and a strong bias to service excellence and getting things done with a sense of urgency.
Possesses personal and professional integrity.
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
Diligent and self-motivated.
Strong analytical skills.
A self-starter who leads by example and who is respected by all levels of employees.
Compensation:$16 / hour
