Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Accountant - Year end CUNY to work at a facility in New York, NY. These are registry positions with our company.Pay Rate: $35 / hourShift details:
Not to exceed 680 hrs at 35 hrs per week
Examples of the specific responsibilities:
Prepare year-end journal entries;
Assist with the preparation of year-end bank reconciliations;
Assist with the preparation of year-end deliverables requested by OUC;
Assist with the preparation of the general-purpose financial statements;
Analyze all related entity activities particularly related to general ledger and treasury accounting;
Reconcile general ledger accounts;
Prepare all transactions for funds activities, financial statement data, footnote disclosures and entries as assigned;
Assist in preparing management and financial reports as assigned;
Work on special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Knowledge of GASB reporting requirements strongly preferred
Intermediate to advanced proficiency using MS Excel spreadsheet functions to perform complex data analyses (vlookup, pivot tables, sorting) strongly preferred
PeopleSoft ERP systems experience preferred
Detail oriented and accurate with strong numerical analysis, evaluation and research skills
Strong writing, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Work effectively individually and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders of various organizational levels, and follow up and complete assignments
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting
Professional accounting or financial licensure/certification preferred
At least two (2) years of related experience
