Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in the Fintech industry based in New York. This role will require the successful candidate to perform a variety of tasks related to accounting functions and processes.Responsibilities: Assisting with the annual audit activities to ensure compliance and accuracy. Participating in month-end close activities, ensuring all procedures are completed in a timely manner. Carrying out account reconciliation tasks to maintain financial accuracy. Providing general support during the month-end close processes to ensure smooth operations. Preparing annual audited financial statements, ensuring they adhere to all regulations and standards. Handling audit preparation tasks, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and ready for review. Requirements Holding a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Proven ability to carry out account reconciliation tasks Experience in the preparation of yearly audited financial statements Knowledge of audit activities and audit preparation Capability to manage month-end close activities Excellent numerical skills and detail oriented Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software High ethical standards and integrity Ability to manage confidential information Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
