Job Title: Bilingual Tour Guide
Location: Manhattan (Financial District, Central Park, Midtown, Greenwich Village)
Compensation: $25 to $35 per hour (including tips)
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time
Job Description
Terradventours is seeking dynamic and passionate bilingual (Spanish-English) tour guides to join our team. We are looking for individuals with strong public speaking skills who enjoy leading engaging tours and sharing knowledge about the city.
Compensation & Earnings Model
Unlike traditional tour jobs, our free tours operate on a tip-based model, similar to those found in major European cities. The hourly base pay is not the most relevant factor—the real income potential comes from tips and group volume. We have established a strong leadership position in NYC, making us one of the most in-demand tour operators in the city.
Earnings Breakdown
Part-Time: Approx. $1,500 per month (low season)
Full-Time:
Low season: Approx. $3,500 per month
Mid season: Approx. $4,500 per month
High season: Approx. $6,000 per month
Hourly Rates (including tips):
Base rate: $15 per hour
With tips: $25 to $35 per hour
How Our Tours Work & How You Earn
Our tours are group-based, meaning you earn from the volume of participants.
The model is designed for high earnings through tips, as we operate free tours where guests contribute based on their experience.
Guides who engage with groups effectively can significantly increase their earnings beyond fixed hourly wages.
Schedule
Part-Time: 6 days per week, 3 hours per day
Full-Time: 6 days per week, 5 hours per day (2 tours daily)
Requirements
- Legal work authorization in the U.S. is required. Applicants must have valid work documents, as we conduct verification through
official government databases. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply.

- NYC Tour Guide License is a plus but not required. However, candidates must be committed to completing the certification process.
