Your Role:
As a Patient Access Manager, you will be a crucial field-based professional responsible for educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and their staff. You'll guide them through the complexities of product-specific prior authorization, appeals processes, and client referral systems, ensuring patients can access essential support services and medications.
What You'll Be Doing:
Educate HCPs on product-specific prior authorization, appeals processes, necessary forms, and submission procedures.
Guide HCPs on the referral process to the client’s HUB and highlight additional support and resources available.
Collaborate closely with internal partners to identify accounts that would benefit from further education on patient access.
Apply a solid understanding of reimbursement issues across various core classes of trade (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, VA, TRICARE, Specialty Pharmacy).
Maintain strict compliance with program business rules, SOPs, HIPAA, and patient privacy regulations.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
3+ years of relevant experience in reimbursement and patient access.
"Buy and Bill" experience preferred.
Strong knowledge and understanding of payer reimbursement models (medical and pharmacy), prior authorization, appeal requirements, and appropriate claim submission.
Ability to maintain compliance with program business rules and guidelines.
