FlatRate Moving is seeking a composed, articulate and detail orientated Claims Associate to join our Claims Team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that customer claims are handled promptly, professionally and with the highest levels of customer service support.
Job Description:
Receiving, researching, processing, and responding to household goods claims.
Communicating with customers, both verbally and in writing, regarding the status of their household goods claims.
Creating and maintaining electronic claim files by collecting, organizing and uploading all relevant documents, updating claim statuses and entering accurate and detailed notes throughout the investigation process.
Drafting and issuing detailed and straightforward claim resolution notices in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Patiently explaining claim resolutions to customers and, as needed, escalating issues to senior management.
Answering and directing incoming calls and emails while also appropriately addressing customer inquiries.
Coordinating and scheduling appointments with customers and third-party inspectors/repairers.
Working closely with other Department(s) to quickly resolve claims and related issues.
Job Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service presence, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency using computer, common office equipment and MS Office applications.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
2 to 3 years’ experience in customer service preferred.
Experience in the relocation, real estate, or transportation industry preferred.
