- Architect and provide expert level support for highly virtualized Linux environment focused on scale, performance, and availability
- Utilize scripting in Python and Bash to automate existing manual processes
- Assist in the architecture and administration of Cloud-Based technologies such as Kubernetes
- Deploy automation technologies and processes to support on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures.
- Collaborate with business leads, engineering and development staff to drive innovation and efficiencies within infrastructure operations.
- Monitor system performance and availability; take corrective action to reduce system downtime.
- Implement secure, system policies
- Update and maintain technical documentation.
- Core RHEL based Linux Stack: OS, NFS, CIFS, TCP/IP Networking, RPM packaging and installs
- Scripting: Python is essential, exposure to other languages is a plus
- Configuration Management: Puppet or similar

- BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field/technical experience
- Expert administration skills in Linux server platform technologies, specifically RHEL
- Advanced knowledge in automating Linux platforms leveraging Python and Bash
- Strong knowledge of automation and configuration management systems (e.g. Puppet, Docker, Terraform)
- The ability to troubleshoot and support a wide variety of Linux applications both commercial and custom
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), security and optimization
- Strong knowledge network filesystems especially those shared between Linux and Windows
- Experience with Linux Desktop Environments
- Experience with Windows administration
- Experience with NetApp Filers
- Experience with Kerberos and ODBC
- Experience with administering SNMP based monitoring systems
- Public Cloud: AWS and Azure (especially API-based interaction)
- Experience with Grafana or similar
- Knowledge in virtualization technologies (VMware 6.5 and up, Citrix)
