Req Number 146377Job DescriptionResponsible for overseeing & updating patient's diet information in the food management system, CBORD. Under supervision, modifies patient menu selections in accordance with patient's diet prescription, and provides consultation to patient and family as directed.Job Responsibility
Answers telephones and relays information to kitchen staff concerning diet changes,
meal changes, complaints, food allergies, or patient discharge.
Routinely verifies accuracy of information from EMR.
Takes Room Service menu orders via telephone or in person and provides guidance and support to patients regarding menu selections.
May participate in food service tray-line production and ensures patient meal tray accuracy as assigned.
Under dietitian's supervision, ensures accuracy and compliance of patient menu
items.
Assists with recipe analysis and hospital and dietary guidelines adherence.
Participates in training and orienting of new employees to the department, tray line, and Room Service office.
Assists dietitians in food service monitoring and planning.
