Our client located in Long Island City is a leading luxury high jewelry and watch company that is looking for an Infrastructure Supervisor. The IT Infrastructure Supervisor leads a team of four engineers to ensure the integrity of the company's network systems. The company's network spans five locations within the United States as well as virtual workers and is utilized by 500+ Employees. A successful candidate has excellent systems engineering experience but also strong people and project management skills. The individual will ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the network, servers, telecommunications services, and information.
- The normal work schedule is 37.5 hours per week.
- May be required to travel to other company sites within the United States up to 30% of the time.
- Ensures that the Company's strategic technology initiatives to build and maintain key elements of the enterprise infrastructure and associated project portfolio, including but not limited to 24/7 data center infrastructure management and evolution, mobility and remote access services, wireless networks, messaging environments, active directory integration, global WAN, software-defined internetworking, and innovative end user computing solutions are realized.
- Ensures the relevance and effectiveness of performance metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements.
- Ensures that the infrastructure strategy, architecture, and delivery processes are designed for agility and operational continuity.
- Ensures comprehensive disaster recovery architecture is maintained and operations are in place to ensure compliance with required RPOs and RTOs Ensures that strategic data and voice communications solutions are appropriate to Company needs.
- Ensures successful network operations.
- BA in Computer Science, MA preferred
- 10+ years' experience
- Experience using Microsoft, Windows XP workstation operating systems Microsoft Office products 2 ODBC connectivity utility Win200X service operating system TCP / IP protocols
- MSC Vendor Management Technical diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication, record keeping, and organizational skills
- In-Depth Knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, View VDI etc. in multi-site environment Active Directory experience
- Experience with Flexpod or yBlock a plus Team Player Network engineering Telecommunications Cisco voice Citrix EMC and/or NetApp Enterprise-level SANs Cisco server infrastructures Hardware platforms
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; to write and perform data entry on a desktop computer
- The employee is occasionally required to sit/walk/bend; lift and/or carry no more than 30 pounds.
