Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our program as community habilitation staff. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve their personal goals, enhance their independence, and participate fully in their communities. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in the field of human services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to individuals in their homes and communities.
- Assist with daily living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, and personal care.
- Facilitate community integration by accompanying individuals to social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving personal goals.
- Encourage and promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made.
- Communicate regularly with the individual's support team, including family members, providers, and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in human services or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a must.
- Clean background check/fingerprinting.
- Must be reliable.
