Job Title: Warehouse Working Foreman

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Working Foreman to oversee daily operations at our busy warehouse. As the leader of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for managing the hands-on aspects of our warehouse operations, including inventory handling, operating machinery, and processing incoming and outgoing orders. This role requires a balance of strong leadership skills and the ability to perform manual tasks alongside your team.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate handling and storage of inventory. Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain records for stock levels.
Order Processing: Coordinate the receiving, processing, and dispatching of orders. Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain warehouse machinery and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety regulations.
Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Provide training and support to team members as needed.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all operations in the warehouse comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing goods. Address and resolve any issues related to damaged or incorrect items.
Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the logistics team to optimize warehouse space and ensure smooth flow of goods.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and team performance for management review.
Problem-Solving: Actively identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements in warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and machinery.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in inventory software, databases, and systems.
Physical ability to perform warehouse duties.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Forklift operation certification is preferred.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
Physical Demands:
The role involves manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
