Our part time team members work two and a half days per week and we will provide training to help you feel confident assisting our doctors in all general restorative procedures. Team members will have plenty of opportunities for personal development, including learning new procedures and stepping into leadership roles as the practice continues to grow.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform dental radiography and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic using Eaglesoft or similar practice management software.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures by providing compassionate care to young patients.
Conduct basic medical coding for insurance claims as needed.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures to enhance patient care.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and endodontics procedures.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Proficiency in using Open Dental or other dental practice management software is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children.
Certification in dental assisting is highly desirable; however, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
