Chef/ Line Cooks/ Bartenders

We are a high volume restaurant and bar on the South Shore of Nassau County, NY, that is known for great food and service. We are searching for a full-time chef, line cooks, and bartenders to join our team. As we continue to grow and create a welcoming environment for our patrons, we look to add value and increase our customer service and capabilities.

These are all full-time, on-site roles working both week nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications for Chef

- Food preparation and creativity, menu planning, cost control and inventory experience

- Familiarity working all positions on the line in a kitchen as well as large quantity preparation for catered events

- Ability to lead a team, give direction, create and maintain cleaning schedules, and ensure kitchen staff are adhering to their responsibilities and keeping the place in great condition

- Several years of experience working in restaurants and the hospitality industry and leading kitchen staff members

- Health Department Food Service Managers Certificate

- Culinary Education and training

Qualifications for Line Cook

- Several years experience with food preparation, with capabilities of following recipes and utilizing kitchen equipment

- Willingness to clean and maintain work areas and follow local health department standards for food safety and sanitation

- Ability and knowledge of working on different stations on the line, cooking food to proper temperature points, and following directions of the chef, sous chef or manager

- Ability to work long hours on your feet, days and evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications for Bartenders

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse with customers and staff effectively

- Knowledge of food and beverage service protocols and cash handling procedures

- Several years of experience in bartending and mixology
