Job Description:
As a Remote Architectural Draftsman specializing in Facade Elements, your primary responsibility will be translating intricate point cloud and STL data into exceptionally precise and detailed documentation. These documents serve as the linchpin in the manufacturing process of architectural facade elements, ensuring adherence to stringent tolerances and the highest degree of precision in our architectural projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Point Cloud and STL Data Conversion:
Utilize advanced software tools and AutoCAD to convert point cloud and STL data into precise 2D and 3D documentation for architectural facade elements.
Attention to detail to accurately capture all crucial elements.
Manufacturing-Ready Documentation:
Create documentation that strictly complies with exacting tolerances and Company standards, ensuring its suitability for integration into our manufacturing processes.
Close collaboration with our manufacturing teams to guarantee the seamless translation of design intent into physical facade elements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal engineering and manufacturing departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of project specifications and constraints.
Foster effective communication to promptly address any discrepancies or challenges within the data or design.
Quality Assurance:
Rigorous quality control measures to validate the precision and accuracy of documentation.
Identify and rectify any disparities or errors, ensuring the final documentation aligns with our standards.
Documentation Management:
Maintain records of data sources, conversion processes, and revisions, compiling comprehensive documentation to accompany the drawings.
Continuous Improvement:

Selection Process:
Candidates will be requested to complete a task that involves completing a conversion of point cloud data into AutoCAD drawings. This task is based on a project that our company has previously executed and serves as an exemplar of our internal standards and tolerances. Your role will be to complete this conversion to ensure it aligns precisely with our established standards. This evaluation process is designed to gauge your ability to adhere to our company's requirements and maintain the highest level of precision in your work.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and substantial experience in point cloud and STL data conversion is imperative.
Exhibit an unwavering attention to detail.
Possess robust communication and collaboration skills, including collaborating effectively with internal engineering and manufacturing departments.
An understanding of facade engineering and manufacturing processes is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software, including Rhino and other relevant 3D modeling tools, is crucial.

Skills Test:
Following the initial phone interview, candidates will undergo a skills test involving the conversion of point cloud files into AutoCAD drawings. You'll receive a point cloud file from a past project and will be tasked with creating a line drawing. We will then assess your work against our standards for precision and accuracy.
