Commercial carpentry contractor in Hauppauge NY is looking for full-time Bookkeeper with a primary focus on payroll and other recordkeeping related to HR Administration. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter and team player with a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office. Will be working alongside the Controller and provides the opportunity to grow professionally long term.
Duties & Responsibilities Payroll:
+ Process in-house payroll weekly
+ Verify accuracy of timesheets, garnishes and deductions
+ Update employee records as needed
+ Maintain OSHA & Certifications for employees
Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Payable:
+ Process weekly payments to vendors & Sub-Contractors
+ Check vendor statements for accuracy
+ Maintain vendor insurance & lien waivers
Skills Needed:
+ Computer and software knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Strong Attention to detail
+ Construction experience a plus but not required
