Req Number 116948Department description:The Epic Cogito Business Intelligence build team is dedicated to implementing Epic at Northwell! It is comprised of 2 teams: Revenue Cycle & Access and Clinical. Each team is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining analytics content that will be used across the enterprise.Our objective is to enhance the overall Northwell business operations in many ways including patient care and financial success by offering a data-driven approach and actionable insights through our analytics content, data platform, and self-service tools. Through the development and use of data extracts, data marts, predicting outcomes, use case specific data sets, self-service reporting, and more, we will be extending our reach to meet the needs of various business areas, internal systems, and external vendorsJob DescriptionLeads the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources in support of business decisions. Ensures the translation of business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications. Oversees data analysis, identification of data sources, and modification of data architecture as necessary. Plans, leads and guides the analysis of business intelligence initiativesJob Responsibility

Leads the data analysis to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies.

Liaises with decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.

Oversees collaboration with development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.

Oversees collaboration with end users in the design and development of custom dashboards, metrics and reports.

Leads the analysis and evaluation of end users reporting needs and translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications.

Oversees research and data analysis in support of resolution of production issues.

Coordinates with other IT groups and departments in the resolution of problem calls.

Inspects the documentation of all report related activities including user requests, report specification, development, modification, testing and on-going production support.

Ensures dashboard and reporting solutions are created to meet user needs and requirements.

Conducts internal process reviews to ensure compliance to policies and practices.

Job Qualification

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

5-7 years of relevant experience and progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated, required.

Highly Preferred Skills:

5+ years of experience working with Payer claims, Billing Data, able to profile, identify data patterns, anomalies/inconsistencies in the data, build logic to transform source data to destination(s)

Demonstrated proficiency in writing SQL and relational database concepts

Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills

Ability to analyze data, problem‐solve, and clearly communicate solutions

Ability to work in a complex multi‐communication‐channel environment

Skill at tracking tasks, defining next steps, identifying owners, and holding people accountable

Ability to coordinate activities involving multiple players, including vendors, subject matter experts, DBA, application teams and end users, to design, configure, and test connectors

Able to create reports and dashboards using EPIC tools

Experience with building ETL packages using SSIS
