Open Doors English (ODE) is seeking a part-time administrative assistant. The administrative assistant supports the daily operations of ODE and assists the co-directors. This position encompasses a wide variety of duties that are both community-facing and behind-the-scenes. This position is 15 hours per week.
ODE is an English language school for adults, serving immigrants, refugees, temporary residents, and other English language learners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
serve as a receptionist and provide information to students, teachers, volunteers, and community members
assist with event planning
create and coordinate social media posts; including photographing school activities and events
process and manage tuition payments and donations
maintain student and donor records
assist in writing grants, applying for sponsorships, and fundraising
assist in student recruitment and marketing efforts
support in creation of newsletters, appeals, and other program communications
conduct outreach to local media for coverage opportunities
coordinate and organize informational presentations for classes
assist in recruitment, interviewing, and coordination of program volunteers
maintain open and clear communication with ODE co-directors and colleagues
Other duties as assigned by co-directors
Skills and Qualifications (preferred but not required):
Experience working in an office setting
Willingness to learn new technology and systems
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to shifting organizational needs and priorities
Experience learning another language and/or living in another culture

Wage: $20 per hour
