The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a hands-on approach to repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks, ensuring a safe, well-functioning environment for tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify issues and schedule necessary repairs.
- Address maintenance requests from tenants in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform general repairs and upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
- Ensure all property maintenance practices comply with safety regulations and building codes.
-Assist with landscaping efforts, including lawn care, snow removal, and seasonal preparations
- Be on call for emergency maintenance situations, such as plumbing leaks or electrical failures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role.
- Knowledge of building systems—plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
