JOBTITLE:AmeriCorps Program Assistant DEPARTMENT:AmeriCorps Senior Demonstration Project PROGRAM:NYSCRCSUPERVISOR:AmeriCorps SDP Project DirectorSTATUS:Non-Exempt, full-time (37.5 hours per week)HOURLY RATE: up to $21.00 per hourSUMMARYThis AmeriCorps Senior Demonstration Project (SDP) was created to recruit, train and place AmeriCorps Senior volunteers in respite-related positions throughout the target region. Volunteers will be mentored and supported to ultimately move from a stipend program to a paid respite workforce, increasing the availability of respite providers in the region. The target region isLewis, Oneida, Herkimer, Cortland, Tompkins, and Jefferson Counties in New York State.This position assists the Project Director in coordinating all aspects of the program. Position is mostly remote, applicant must live in one of the target counties. Tompkins County preferred.Will have recurring access to vulnerable populations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with program operations for AmeriCorps Senior Demonstration Project

Support Volunteer Coordinator background checks and time sheets as necessary

Provide general clerical support as necessary

Assist with telephone calls to volunteers and stations as necessary.

Serve as point of contact for NYSCRC’s AmeriCorps Senior Demonstration Project

Travel to all Project counties y for meetings, outreach to stations and volunteer recruitment.

Assist with planning and implementing volunteer recognition events and other special events, trainings, or meetings.

Assist with scheduling and serve as recording secretary at SDP Advisory Council Meeting

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
