Rockland County trust and estate law firm seeks part-time legal assistant for two days a week between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A minimum of one year of trust and estates law experience or two years recent law office experience, including scheduling and word processing, is required.
We are seeking someone strong in Microsoft Word, excellent phone/interpersonal skills, a self-starter and team player with ability to work independently in a small law office.
Duties include word processing, answering telephones, scheduling, some Dictaphone transcription, and filing. Candidate should have experience or be willing to be trained on certain aspects of estate administration, including occasional preparation of real estate documents, completing financial institution forms, and must also be a notary public or willing to become a notary after taking position.
