POSITION SUMMARY
Perform janitorial assignments at FDR Hyde Park.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the completion of assigned janitorial work within specified time frames and to specified quality levels of each contract.
Inform the Supervisor Janitorial Services of all cleaning and personnel issues or needs.
Act as a representative of Gateway and deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsible for all equipment and supplies assigned.
Participate in training programs for professional growth as scheduled and approved.
Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits as a role model.
May be required to work alternate shifts with notice, which may or may not be permanent.
Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized and safe manner.
Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment.
Perform work tasks in a safe manner, and do not take unsafe “short cuts”.
Conduct daily inspections of immediate work area(s) to look for unsafe conditions.
Ensure all accidents are promptly reported to immediate supervisor and Human Resources.
Be familiar with the Safety and Health Accident Prevention Program and abide by all safety and health rules, work practices, and regulations.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to Gateway Hudson Valley’s Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Health, Safety, & Compliance
Maintain all site operations in accordance with specified certification criteria and Health Department regulations. Ensure compliance with OPWDD, OFA, and any other organization or government agency as required
Provide leadership and positive direction necessary for maintaining a safe work environment as well as hold all subordinates accountable in providing direction necessary for maintaining a safe work environment
Actively participate in and support employee participation in health and safety practices and accident prevention
Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Conduct daily inspections of work areas to look for unsafe conditions
Ensure all accidents are reported to supervisor and Human Resources, thoroughly investigated, and properly documented. Investigate near-miss incidents to determine root cause to promote accident prevention.
Ensure all staff are properly trained on emergency response procedures. Maintain practices to ensure Health and Safety compliance
Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment. Train staff on all safe operating procedures and on the use of personal protective equipment

Maintain a clean and neat appearance consistent with food service standards and act as a role model
Attend all required meetings and trainings
Participate in training programs for professional growth as scheduled and approved

Keep abreast of any changes or modifications to policies or regulations. Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable of applicable regulations, laws, and policies
