This is a full-time on-site role for a Journeyman Carpenter located at various sites around Ulster, Sullivan and Orange Counties, NY. As a Journeyman Carpenter at LDR Group we are verically integrated company (we do most of the trades ourselves) so you will be responsible for performing various carpentry and home building tasks, including but not limited to framing, air sealing and insulation, installing fixtures, and finish carpentry. You will also be involved in electrical, plumbing and all of the other trades from tie to time (no roofing). You will work closely with our team to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and meet project deadlines, as well as light supervisory duties for those directly under your tutelage and direction. You will also be required to learn and operate our employee app, keep your time, and take notes/photos each day and upload to app.

The CEO/owner is a master craftsman in wood, metal and glass, a certified estimator, and an engineer. You really need to be on your game for this position, because he can spot fakes from a mile off.

EXPECT A MINIMUM OF ONE FULL DAY WORKING INTERVIEW.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter

Proficiency in most carpentry techniques and tools, including framing to finish

Ability to interpret and follow blueprints and specifications

Knowledge of building codes and regulations

Strong attention to detail and precision

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical stamina and strength

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A positive attitude and work ethic

All required tools, including a minimum 10" chop saw and a site sized table saw

Reliable, legal transportation

Be physically able to perform the job of Journeyman Carpenter

Legal permission to work in the US

Passive House knowledge and/or certification, a big plus

Electrical, Plumbing and/or HVAC experience a plus

We offer above competitive wages, a healthy work environment and a 3-month probationary period.

Post probationary period benefits, include:

A raise in pay up to $2 per hour, commensurate with abilities proven on site

3 paid Holidays per year

Medical savings plan equal to 3% of gross wage worked (credited quarterly)

After one year of service, you will be eligible for additional benefits:

5 total paid Holidays per year

A second raise in pay, up to $2 per hour

5 total days of annual personal time off

5 days of annual paid vacation time in the second year

401k/ plan with company match of 5% up to $5,000 of employee contribution
