Small office of 1 dentist and 4 operatories is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. Private office, small town setting, anti-corporate feel.Hygienist would have own renovated operatory room with new dental chair. Primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Take dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and performing other tasks as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in New York (Registered Dental Hygienist degree)
- Proficiency in dental practice management systems, such as Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical coding and HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with medical imaging software for dental radiography
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and practices
- Excellent knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

Pay:
- $50.00 - $55.00/hr
