Summary and Principal Area of Responsibility: Specific Shift production supervision. Supervises shop employees in a manufacturing environment; plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) and increase subordinates' skills and capabilities. Must prepare activity plans for the above and discuss them with manager. Must be able to assist Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management.Work Experience: One to Two years in a Manufacturing environment are preferred. Prior supervisory experience is required. Demonstrated Leadership and the ability to lead people and get results through others. Experience with Lean manufacturing desirable.Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
