Psychologist and Clinical Diagnostician for Autism (ASD)Ascend Autism GroupHawthorne, NYFull-timeSalary: $90,000 -$110,000k annuallyThe licensed psychologist will work within their scope of practice, with training, experience, or expertise in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or behavioral health services. The diagnostician will be responsible for independently providing diagnostic and developmental assessments.Primary Responsibilities: Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct autism spectrum disorder or psychological assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports
Provide feedback to clients / families after evaluations
Communicate with team members during and after the evaluation process, as necessary
Provide written orders for applied behavior analysis treatment and/or other behavioral health services, as necessary
Follow all state and federal regulatory guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Candidate may work as full time employee, part time employee or independent contractor
Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
Follow the policies and procedures of Ascend Autism Group
Qualifications:
Licensed psychologist
Two years’ experience with at least one years’ experience conducting ASD evaluations
Experience administering various standardized diagnostic tools (e.g. ADOS-2, CARS, Vineland)
Must hold applicable state licensure
Experience with Microsoft Office
Extensive knowledge of DSM-5
Excellent report writing skills
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with families, schools and ASD service providers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent administrative skills
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time.
Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clients
