Welding Engineer InternWe are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the Welding Department! As an Engineering Intern, you will assist in the preparation of Welding production documentation and Welder Qualification packages. You will perform review of Welding Records post-production welding and validate compliance with specification requirements. You will also coordinate various welding projects with the Welding Engineers as directed by the Welding Department Manager.Location: East Farmingdale, NY.Hourly pay: $18 an hourPlease note that the pay range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. Preparation of necessary welding documents
Preparation of welding qualification packets
Perform review of production weld records
Assist to evaluation of welding qualification pieces
Qualify and Perform metallurgist sample preparation
Review and understand welding specifications for production compliance
Interface with Manufacturing, Welding and Quality Control to ensure compliance with customer requirements
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
What You Bring
Must be a US citizen
Actively pursuing Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Welding, Mechanical or Nuclear)
Working knowledge of GTAW, TIG, PTA welding preferred
Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad, LabVIEW
