We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with experience working on a variety of vehicles. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing and fixing automotive issues, as well as maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all repairs.
Duties
Perform diagnostics and repairs on automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Repair and replace damaged parts of the engine and transmission system.
Test drive the car after repairs to check for proper function.
Perform overhauls, like cleaning and repair or replacing of shock absorbers, fuel filters, brakes and thermostats, etc.
Inspect vehicles for road worthiness and safety (e.g. check for damaged tires, lights, hoses etc.).
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently.
Lubricate moving engine parts (e.g. pistons, crankshafts).
Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
Must have your own basic automotive tools be able to perform routine daily jobs
Must have references.
Diagnose mechanical problems by using computers and diagnostic tools.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are a plus.

Pay: $25.63 - $28.31 per hour
