Birgo is a mission-driven company seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for 8 apartment communities in Lockport, NY, totaling 400+ units. Join our fast-growing team to improve lives through real estate!
Responsibilities:
- Manage turnovers, work orders, renovations, inventory, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance
- Complete high-skill maintenance work (plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC)
- Hire, supervise, and develop maintenance team members to turn around distressed properties
- Plan, execute, and report on capital projects
- Set safety expectations for the team and adhere to company safety standards
- Monitor expenses and adhere to budget
- Source and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and suppliers as necessary
- Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate
Requirements:
- Expertise in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
- In-depth understanding of building systems, apartment rehabs, and vendor coordination
- 3+ years of supervisor experience
- 5+ years of residential maintenance experience
- Experience managing multi-site (preferred)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Active driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases
Pay: $26-32/hour (eligible for overtime when approved)
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday w/ rotating on-call
