Express Employment Professionals is seeking General Laborers for an asphalt manufacturer located in Tonawanda, NY. This is a temp to hire position with excellent benefits including medical & dental coverage, 401k & more!
Day Shift: Fri-Mon 8am-5pm (4, 10-hour shifts)
Night Shift: Thurs-Sun 8pm-6am (4, 10-hour shifts)
Pay: $20/hr
This position is considered full-time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in November thru March. Seasonal requirements are subject to change or extend during this timeframe.
Job Duties:
· Complete Scale House Operator training
· Safely assist in the production area (set up batching operations, valve alignments, etc.)
· Operate a forklift to move material in warehouse & production areas
· Facility maintenance and upkeep (lawn mowing, keeping work areas clean and tidy)
· Setup for barge offloading
· Other duties outside of description, as needed
Requirements:
· Willingness to obtain company provided forklift training
· Must have or willing to obtain OSHA-10 Hour Safety Certification
· Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools preferred
· Basic understanding of yard equipment (mower, tractor, hand yard tools)
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
· Strong work ethic, self-starter
· Basic math skills
