Position Summary:
We are seeking a Breakfast Cook & Kitchen Manager to take charge of kitchen operations and execution. In this dual role, you’ll be the go-to for both cooking and managing the back of the house. You'll have the unique opportunity to help design the kitchen setup, menu execution flow, and set the tone for our kitchen culture. Key Responsibilities:
Lead breakfast service: Prepare and execute a high-quality breakfast menu with speed,
consistency, and attention to detail.
Menu execution & planning: Help develop and evolve the breakfast menu (and
eventually lunch) in collaboration with ownership, including specials and seasonal
items.
Kitchen Setup: Collaborate with ownership to define the kitchen set up and design
prep/storage systems.
Staffing and Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff as business grows.
Inventory and Ordering: Track inventory, manage food costs, and place orders to ensure
freshness and minimal waste.
Kitchen Standards: Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are maintained
at all times.
Scheduling and Budgeting: Assist in staff scheduling and manage kitchen labor to align
with revenue goals.
Event Support and Execution: Oversee kitchen operations for private events and special
functions, including planning, prep, and service.
Qualifications:
3+ years of breakfast cook experience, with supervisory or lead line cook
responsibilities
Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, inventory, and staff
Passion for food quality, consistency, and efficient service
Independent decision-making skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Comfortable with a flexible, startup-style work environment
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
