Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Buffalo, New York. This role primarily revolves around accounting tasks in a dynamic environment and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team.Responsibilities: Maintaining the integrity of financial records by conducting regular reconciliations. Tracking and reconciling external grants and personnel efforts for accurate reporting and compliance with funding requirements. Handling the accounting for Greenway projects and maintaining the associated entries in the financial system. Ensuring the Finance Check Log's accuracy and timeliness through regular reviews and management. Overseeing the uploading process of gifts and verifying their accurate allocation to the correct accounts and funds. Conducting Stripe reconciliations to ensure seamless processing and accurate financial reporting. Managing deposits and ensuring all incoming funds are accurately recorded and allocated. Collaborating with other team members to enhance system efficiencies and ensure reporting accuracy. Assisting in preparation for audits and other compliance activities, under the guidance of the Associate Vice President/Controller. Upholding the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality to protect the organization's reputation and value.
