As an R&D Engineer - Data Center Thermal Management Technology here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions for data center thermal management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative cooling systems for data centers

Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and provide technical recommendations

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data center thermal management

Support product development and testing activities

PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

Demonstrated ability for programming, instrumentation, and analysis of highly complex systems relevant to data center thermal management (Matlab, Labview, etc.).

WE VALUE

R&D experience with electronics thermal management systems for data center environments.

Thorough understanding of thermodynamics and two-phase flow heat transfer (boiling theory, thermal resistance, heat transfer coefficient, etc.).

Ability to conduct material compatibility experiments and develop knowledge/hypothesis based on results.

Ability to perform calculations and simulations including thermal-mechanical analysis, thermodynamic properties, and CFD.

Ability to read, write, and understand P&ID diagrams and perform CAD for R&D.

Demonstrated capability of designing experiments to enable clear results that drive decisions in an industrial R&D environment.

Ability to ensure a high level of scientific rigor is applied to all projects.

Desire to work collaboratively with many internal teams in R&D.

Familiarity with statistical analyses and Design of Experiments (DOE).

A passion for scientific curiosity and creativity.

An open, honest, and team-oriented personality.

Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work, with a positive attitude and desire to acquire new skills quickly.
