We are currently seeking a passionate individual for the position of a Part Time Adult Home Care Aide. In this crucial role, you will be based at the Pleasant Gardens Adult Home, a 26-bed facility which provides 24-hour supervision, personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry service, transportation, daily recreational activities, and medication management. Responsibilities:
Administer medication of residents
Making resident's beds
Assist residents to go to recreational activities
Ensure residents are up, washed and dressed
Serve and cook meals and snacks
Change linens weekly or as needed
Complete laundry of linens and clothes of residents
Carry out housekeeping duties
Ensure presence of resident's personal hygiene supplies
Documentation of incidents in aide's book
Completion of the daily census
Adhere to cleaning schedule of bedrooms and all common living areas
Check rooms and common living spaces for safety of residents
Assist in other tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Experience working with elderly preferred
Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle
Training in First Aid and CPR required
Successful completion of annual Physical and PPD
Shift: Day (7am-3pm), Evening (3pm-11pm) and Overnight (11pm-7am) shifts available!
