Overview:
Be part of a small team of landscapers gardeners and horticulturalists restoring old farm fields to productive pollinator-friendly landscapes and herbal gardens.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in greenhouse operation including seed propagation and plant care
- Help with planting, tending, and applying compost
- Help with maintaining edges of wooded areas, operating power tools and equipment
- Collaborate with the landscape team to design and implement new garden projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure proper use of equipment
- Experience with heavier farm and landscaping machinery is a plus but not required
- Horticultural, Plant Biology and Soil Science background or training a plus
- Long-term career-oriented employment possible for motivated and highly qualified candidates
Requirements:
- Understanding of greenhouse operations is a plus
- Knowledge of farm or landscape maintenance is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills
