MezzaNotte Ristorante in Guilderland is searching for a fine dining line cook with strength in Italian cuisine. Also searching for someone that can be both a Bartender and Server.

Fine Dining Line Cook:
Job brief:
A Professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the Chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Requirements and skills:
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Bartender/Server:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience.
Good Bartenderswill be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude.
Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.
Responsibilities
Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
Plan and present bar menu
Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Requirements and skills
Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender
Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
Computer literacy
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Ability to keep the barorganized, stocked and clean
Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience
Hands-on experience in cashier duties
Attention to cleanliness and safety
Patience and customer-oriented approach
Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
