Division/Department:OrthoNY/X-RayLocation:AlbanyJob Title:Radiologic TechnologistReports to:Senior Manager, Ancillary ServicesType of position:Full TimeFLSA Status:Non-ExemptGENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Radiologic Technologist will be instrumental in generating high-quality diagnostic medical radiographs, contributing significantly to the accuracy of diagnoses and the delivery of exceptional patient care.RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Document an appropriate patient history containing pertinent patient information regarding their condition and including patient limitations;
Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education;
Select and operate equipment; recognize essential condition for successful completion of procedure;
Perform Medical Assistant duties when required such as cast removal, stitches and staple removal, dressing changes and other patient needs;
Assisting physician in patient care as requested;
Other responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONSThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:
Minimum of graduation from an accredited school in radiologic technology;
Unrestricted NYS Radiologic Technologist license in NYS;
1- 2 years of Radiologic Technology experience preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
CPR/BLS preferred

Ability to travel to various OrthoNY locations if needed. Reliable transportation is essential.
