Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a IT Support Specialist in Albany, New York. As the Computer Support Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our Data Management and Research unit, providing top-notch support and contributing to our efficient operations.Responsibilities: Conduct thorough research to support data management projects Ensure the timely and accurate processing of data Coordinate with vendors to ensure the smooth flow of operations Assist in the hiring process by evaluating candidate profiles Contribute to the closing processes by providing necessary information and support Aid in the development and implementation of pricing strategies Handle requests for quotations, ensuring they are processed accurately and promptly Utilize the scale-out method to manage data effectively Maintain a flexible work schedule, with potential night and weekend shifts as required.Requirements Possess strong research skills to identify and solve technical issues. Proficiency in 'About Time' software for effective time tracking and management. Demonstrable experience in pricing, ensuring cost-effective solutions for hardware or software issues. Understanding of hiring processes to collaborate effectively with the HR department. Ability to liaise with vendors, ensuring smooth procurement of necessary equipment or software. Proven experience in closing technical issues effectively, ensuring minimal downtime. Expertise in data management, ensuring the security and integrity of company data. Familiarity with 'Scale Out' software to manage large scale data storage. Experience in preparing and managing 'Request For Quotation' for hardware or software purchases.
