We are looking for a skilled, hard-working, reliable Assistant Manager to help oversee our bar operations and ensure excellent customer service. The job will include overseeing bar operations as well as bartending. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a salaried position plus tips.
Duties
-Manage all aspects of the bar and keep it clean and organized
-Supervise and motivate bar staff to deliver excellent service
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
-Help the General Manager develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
-Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a professional manner
-Prep the bar
-Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards customers and coworkers
Requirements
-Experience working with a POS system
-Strong background in shift management within the food industry, minimum of two years experience
-Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
-Be able to work long shifts two to three times a week
-Open availability
- Understand bar terminology and how to apply this knowledge to day-to-day operations
-Understand and uphold all local and national alcohol laws and compliance
-Proficient and comfortable in cash handling procedures
