River Source seeks a Watershed Programs Manager to work in Santa Fe, assisting with field trips in Northern New Mexico, and conducting scientific ecological monitoring and restoration for the health of communities, forests and rivers in New Mexico. River Source works with public, tribal and private schools and recruits and hires youth interns for work-learn experiences. Our partners include the City of Santa Fe, non-profit organizations, and the US Forest Service.
General Tasks:
The Watershed Programs Coordinator works with the Director (Rich Schrader, direct supervisor) and Programs Director (Carlos Herrera) providing watershed education experiences, assessing land, community, and water conditions, training youth and partners in watershed science monitoring and designing and implementing ecological restoration.
Compensation & Schedule:
$38 per hour as a contractor depending on experience with the opportunity for an increase based on performance. Use of a personal vehicle is eligible to get reimbursed on mileage basis with up to $0.67/mile. After 120 days of good work, team members who are committed to continue working at River Source are eligible for $500 per year health care benefit.
