Reading Quest, a local non-profit, provides professional support for children who need help with reading. We are seeking someone to work one day a week during the school day in West Las Vegas. We have other openings in Bernalillo and Santa Fe. Our work is all in-person, with the exception of staff meetings and trainings on Zoom.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, part-time or possibly full time Reading Specialist to work in person at schools during the school day. We are looking for applicants who have experience working with children in elementary school and would enjoy learning how to teach them how to read using explicit structured literacy, phonics and reading games aligned with the science of reading. We provide extensive training and on-going support for all of our Reading Specialists. The training for this position could begin later this spring and the work begins in the fall. Pay begins at $25/hour to $30/hour depending on experience and increases to $35-$40/hour over time.
