Job Description
Summary: This position's main responsibility is to provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of medications administration, assessment, planning and intervention.

Additionally:
Daily responsibilities include:
Administer chemotherapy; interpret orders and set schedules
Establish port access and starting IV
Perform sterile technique dressing changes
Provide phone triage and problem solving
Perform daily charting, charges, flow sheet and lab value assessments
Work in harmony with other nurses to maintain an efficient and pleasant work environment. Problem solving as necessary Assist physicians as needed
Assess and provide ongoing monitoring for patients receiving chemotherapy, providing for their comfort as necessary (pillows, blankets, assisting to the bathroom, etc.)
Restock cart
Sanitize chemo chairs in between patient
Dispose medical waste -at the end of the day
Complete additional tasks as need to ensure the smooth flow of the Clinic as a whole (additional patient volume, scheduling outpatient nursing, OSHA compliance, portable pumps documentations, etc.).

Excellent clinical skills and judgment
Ability to work under pressure
Communication and multitasking skills
Position Requirements:
Education
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, or
Associate degree in Nursing, or
Nursing Diploma program as a Registered Nurse
Licenses/Certifications
Current Registered Nurse License for the State of NM
Current BLS card
