COMPANY OVERVIEW:
This client is seeking a career-minded technician for a full time permanent position at a steadily growing company with many long term employees and excellent benefits.
This is a manufacturer of specialized electronic testing and measuring equipment used in Defense, Laboratories, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, Utility, Research Laboratories, Aerospace, Electronics and other Manufacturing industries.
Client now has 3 facilities, having outgrown their primary facility. Each is organized and “departmentalized” for different aspects of the business such as a calibration lab, mechanical production of instrumentation/generators, electronic assembly and testing, welding/machining and accessories for their products.
Work is done to strict tolerances so you must be focused and detail oriented to assure quality output.
Work environment is clean, neat, well organized and laid out for comfortable working conditions.
Excellent attendance is essential. They don’t mandate OT, but is allowed if you need to do so in order to complete projects.

SCOPE OF WORK, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (include but are not limited to):
Looking for someone who can learn their product lines and eventually take a lead tech role – this is not supervisor or manager level job.
Need to learn their instrumentation manufacturing systems and processes
This person will need to be primarily a talented mechanical assembler with electrical knowledge
Background skills in automotive assembly, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical assembly of instrumentation are all good experience to have.
Build assemblies, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuitry and mechanical systems utilizinginstructions, specifications, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Assist supervision in resolving assembly problems by altering equipment / component dimensions and tolerances
Troubleshoot to component or assembly level with the end goal of repairing and returning to service, customer-owned equipment
Facilitate the repair, assembly, testing, and preparation of equipment for shipping
Perform other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Basically the systems are assembled within cabinetry of a wide range of sizes and purposes. This unique instrumentation requires plumbing, refrigeration, Swagelok fittings – all primarily mechanical in nature.
Ability to read, comprehend, and create drawings/schematics is essential
Possess a working knowledge on the safe and correct use of various hand-tools and electrical measuring devices
Capacity to solder electronic components, circuit boards, cables, etc. is required
Must be able to pay close attention to details; spotting defects in parts, equipment, and related drawings is of paramount importance
Ability to exercise sound judgment when assisting management with system repair processes
Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with both analog and digital circuits
Previous experience with various types of power sources (e.g., AC single/three phase, and DC)
Must be able to work flexible hours/schedules, and work overtime as required to meet departmental deadlines
Once trained, must be able to work with minimal supervision
Be able to lift 25 pounds, sit/stand/walk for extended periods on a regular basis
As this position is technical in nature, the applicant should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, be well-organized with strong communication skills and have a team-centered focus, possessing a friendly, proactive personal style
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
Associate degree in Electronics or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning or certificate from vocational school in Electronics.
Mandatory five years of directly relatable mechanical/assembly experience such as auto mechanics, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
Anticipated Pay: $25 - $29/hr. DOE.
