This is a temporary to fulltime opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Robert Half Technology is seeking multiple IT Level 2 Technicians. The IT Technicians will be responsible in providing support for client based computer systems, POS systems, back office systems, network equipment, and communications equipment to include onsite installation of new and replacement hardware, software and telephone support. This position reports to the manager of IT. Daily duties include but are not limited to: Monitors DSL/network connectivity daily and/or on cases initiated by the stores; Receives trouble calls on equipment and troubleshoots problems and/or issues; Is available 24/7 to support restaurant operations and staff personnel's reported IT system issues; Escalates hardware and software issues as deemed necessary by management; Programs DSL modems and firewalls equipment; Follows procedures to ensure systems and equipment security for PCI-DSS compliance and file integrity; Documents procedures, issues, serial numbers, or asset data using word processing, spreadsheet or other software; Performs local and remote testing on equipment, including running computer programs to and utilizing tests equipment to diagnose faults; Assists in the preparation and installation of software and peripheral devices; Assists in the diagnosis of resolution of software problems; Orders and inventories spare parts, including stripping surplus equipment for usable parts; Performs miscellaneous functions as required, including (but not limited to) calling vendors to report/escalate/resolve problems; Assisting in changing BOH server locations and working with electricians to determine necessary wiring changes; Evaluates requests for Hardware and BOH services, develops alternate proposals and recommends new applications; Explains work instructions and adapts, if necessary, pertinent general methods and procedures in order to meet required needs; Other duties as needed Requirements The successful IT Technician will have: Windows 10 /7/XP, hardware & software support, Network connectivity/troubleshooting; POS Systems, networked cameras and other related systems; Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally; Excellent customer relation skills; Knowledge of computers and methodology; Ability to operate information system devices and related test equipment; Ability to diagnose hardware and software problems; Knowledge of network environment and data communication principles; Ability to install and repair microcomputer components and related equipment; Ability to resolve issues, prepare and install packages for software such as; Windows XP, Windows 7, etc.; Ability to accurately key in coded information and instructions; Ability to determine work priorities as well as work without direct supervision; Able to lift 25 lbs; Ability to work under stressful conditions while projecting a positive attitude; Must have a valid Driver's License and a good driving recordInterviews are currently being conducted, for immediate consideration please email your resume to with IT Technician in the subject line.We invite you to follow us on Twitter @RHTAlbuquerque to hear about other New Mexico job opportunities and Tech news!Applicants are required to under background prior to employment Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with some of the best companies on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
