DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supports and efficiently carries out responsibilities in accordance with El Ranchito de los Niños, Inc., Policies and Procedures.
2. Supports and carries out responsibilities in accordance with ERDLN, NMCCCA and CYFD Standards.
3. Represents El Ranchito de los Niños, Inc., in a manner reflecting professionalism while working to enhance community understanding of the program.
4. Protects the confidentiality of ERDLN children & personnel information.
5. Maintains a high personal standard of professional and ethical conduct. Performs assigned duties with the primary intent and purpose of carrying out the commitments of ERDLN, Inc.
6. Takes responsibility for knowing and implementing the goals, objectives, methods, and activities
7. Knowledge of mandatory reporting criteria
8. Demonstrates keen observation skills:
a. Observes strengths and needs of the children, reinforces strengths and positive actions.
b. Recognizes behavior and/or development of children deviating from the expected norms.
c. Recognize and report when kids are ill
d. Recognize and report basic adverse occurrences
9. House cleaning- Maintain a safe, clean environment for the residents, staff and animals.
10. Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks following the approved menus
11. Laundry-Ensure that all residents have clean clothes available at all times
12. Provide input to House Parents/Director of Programs on behavior issues of children
13. Properly supervise and guide the children, while providing healthy boundaries
14. Provide input into children’s plans
15. Provide medications as prescribed by a physician and log in Medication Administration Record
16. Assist in transportation needs of children using agency vehicles
17. Participate and involve volunteers in activities with children
18. Provide information regarding child’s visitations and appointments
18. Help with low cost/free activities for the children.
19. Supervise animal care of indoor as well as larger animals.
20. Perform other duties as assigned.
