Job Summary: As a Farm Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with planting and harvesting crops, caring for livestock, operating and maintaining farm equipment, and maintaining farm facilities. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in a farm hand or related role, as well as knowledge of agricultural practices and the ability to operate farm equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities: Assist with planting and harvesting crops, including preparing soil, planting seed, caring for plants, and weeding. Feed and care for livestock, including providing water and feed, monitoring health, and assisting with vaccinations. Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors and its implements as well as different power equipment such as a walk-behind rototiller, weed-wacker, wood-chipper etc. Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of farm facilities, including buildings, fencing, and irrigation systems. Participate in the construction and repair of farm structures, as needed. Keep accurate records of farm activities and assist with the preparation of reports. Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with other tasks related to the farm as assigned by the operations manager.
Job Qualifications: Knowledge of agricultural practices, including planting, harvesting, and animal husbandry. Ability to operate farm equipment and tools safely and efficiently. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in outdoor conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
