Small, growing, family-owned specialty manufacturing / retail business seeking a maintenance assistant. A flexible part-time position well-suited for a mechanically inclined person living within easy access to Edgewood area. Ideal for those looking a for just a few regular, but flexible, well-paying hours each week (e.g. retirees, students, handyman, firefighters, police, EMTs, etc.).
Key Characteristics:
Reliable, trustworthy and self-sufficient;
Looking for regular work 4 hours per week with reasonable flexibility to set own schedule;
Must have own vehicle for light travel in the area (e.g. the occasional store run for supplies);
Particularly good fit for retirees (firemen, police, plumbers), handymen, stay at home parents or others looking for steady but flexible hours;
Some light lifting required;
Duties:
Get trained in basic mechanical and plumbing operations so you can assist with light maintenance;
Perform a maintenance “round” 2x per week;
o Re-stock supplies and consumables;
o Light cleaning;
o Help with basic repairs and maintenance as required;
Perform other maintenance work or projects as requested from time to time, subject to your availability;
Requirements:
Driver’s license and working vehicle;
Ability to bring a ladder, supplies in your vehicle to location if necessary;
Must have personal cell phone;
Pass a background check;
Other Information:
Compensation: $20 per hour + GRT
Schedule: We have reasonable flexibility to schedule around candidate’s availability but in general, looking for someone to perform a round every three to four days;
