This position will support the National Nuclear Security Administration Defense Programs, through system engineering and integration (SE&I) expertise. You will be contributing to the strategic defense of our nation by assessing critical non-nuclear designs to meet warfighter needs. You will work with a very diverse professional technical staff and partner with Aerospace's Engineering Technical Group Subject Matter Experts to address the most challenging problem sets for our customer.

This is a hybrid position located in Albuquerque, NM. This position will call for around 3 days of in-office work.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Support Mission Assurance practices through the implementation of validated scientific, engineering, quality, and program management principles toward the goal of achieving mission success.
  • Apply a systems' engineering framework that uses risk management and independent assessment as cornerstones.
  • Participate in systems studies and analyses to support technical, programmatic and interpersonal decision-making on a diverse number of projects.
  • Support studies such as systems architecture analyses, technology development planning and evaluation, organizational effectiveness studies, and risk assessments.
  • Function as an individual and team contributor on task execution and integration of technical analyses into high quality, unified final products.

What You Need to be Successful

Member of Technical Staff

Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering coupled with equivalent experience in technical operations and/or management of sophisticated technology national security systems.
  • Two plus years of practical experience in mission assurance related activities; the application of system engineering, risk management, quality, and management principles to achieve success of a design, development, testing, deployment, and operations process, and identifying and mitigating design, production, test, and field support deficiencies that threaten mission success.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a self-motivated and self-directed manner.
  • Capable of teaming skills in tasks such as formulating plans, supporting studies, and applying internal technology proficiency organizations.
  • Ability to perform analysis and technical product delivery
  • This position requires ability to acquire and maintain a top secret security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to acquire a security clearance.
  • Some travel is required.

Sr. Member of Technical Staff
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressively more responsible engineering experience
  • The same requirements as above

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if have one or more of these:
  • Current Secret Clearance
  • A formal degree or certification in systems engineering and/or project management.
  • Experience interacting with customer personnel on a variety of technical, programmatic, and administrative issues.
  • Experience in the analysis of sophisticated technical, programmatic, and management environments at a high programmatic level.
