Summer Camp Assistant Teachers
Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences, an Expeditionary Learning School and Reggio Emilia- inspired preschool is seeking summer camp assistant teachers for our summer camp program. This position is 30+ hours per week for up to 7 weeks June 9th through August 1st. Other positions with more flexible hours may also be available.
The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting the developmental needs of the age group they are working with. Our camps are divided into preschool/preK 3-5 year-olds, K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-6th and 6th-8th grades. Our summer camp teachers promote the school’s character traits of respect, trust, courage, honesty, compassion, and stewardship.

We pride ourselves on providing a fun learning experience for all ages in a safe and nurturing environment. Our 5-acre campus provides a wonderful combination for both outdoor and indoor learning.
These positions are paid a competitive hourly rate and wages are dependent upon experience. In most cases our camps are staffed with a lead, assistant and a few younger interns. You are paid for your time on campus and agreed upon planning hours.
Qualifications and Attributes
For early childhood ages- a 45-hour course in Early Childhood Education or enrolled in an Early Childhood certification program is preferred
Previous experience working with children in schools, camps, or afterschool programs
Ability to work collaboratively
Understanding of learning styles and differentiated instruction
Commitment to diversity and inclusivity
Excellent communication skills
Positive attitude and adaptability
