Position overview: Senior SQL/Database engineer who will be involved in database design, reviewing code, writing stored procedures, building and modifying SSIS packages, making structural changes to tables and views, and data analysis. Specific skills/experience/qualifications required include:

  • Proficiency in database modeling, performance tuning, querying and analyzing data in SQL Server (primary, must have) and Oracle (secondary, nice to have)
  • Strong experience in developing Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL components such as complex stored procedures, data loads, and views
  • Experience in writing stored procedures in SQL Server 2017
  • Experience in SQL Server performance tuning and query monitoring
  • Ability to design, build, and modify SSIS ETL packages to move data from various sources including flat files, JSON, Oracle, and FTP from databases and data warehouses
  • Experience in writing AUTOSYS JIL (Job Information Language) commands
  • Experience in software development lifecycle
  • Experience in deployment of database components from lower environments to UAT and production environments
  • Experience in making structural changes to tables and views
  • Ability to refactor existing code using C#
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • High level of proficiency in working with systems required to effectively process large volumes of both real-time and batch transactions
  • Experience defining data model development methodologies, principles, standards, and governance
  • Financial Services industry experience, particularly with equity position and security master reference data, strongly preferred
  • Experience in Azure Cloud and Pivotal Cloud Foundry environments preferred but not required
