FARMHAND - part time

The Oasis Animal Sanctuary is looking for a part time farmhand to assist in the daily care of 7 horses, 2 donkeys, some ducks, chickens, and a royal palm turkey; as well as some farm upkeep. Duties include (but not limited to) feeding and watering of all the animals, daily cleaning of their pastures/run-ins/coops; dispensing meds & supplements as needed, keeping the barn clean, mowing and trimming around the farm, and light repairs & maintenance. Horse knowledge and experience is essential; this is NOT a “learn about horses as you go” position. Tractor experience a plus. Oasis is looking for a strong, committed individual who can work thru any weather. The schedule is for 16 hours per week: Saturdays (8 -5); then any two 4-hour morning shifts you choose (8AM-12PM) .
